Range Rover Sport SV Carbon Unveiled: Land Rover has unveiled yet another special edition in its fast-growing lineup of Range Rover Sport variants — this time introducing the Range Rover Sport SV Carbon, a high-performance SUV that leans into lightweight luxury and exclusivity.

As its name suggests, the SV Carbon is all about carbon fibre detailing, both inside and out. It follows a string of recent bespoke editions, but distinguishes itself with a sharper focus on performance and — relatively speaking — weight reduction.

Exterior: Forged Carbon Everywhere

The SV Carbon comes standard with a forged carbon exterior pack, which adds visual drama and marginal weight savings. This includes a forged carbon bonnet, detailing around the exhaust surrounds, and other trim areas.

Buyers can choose from four exclusive paint colours, with additional options available from the brand’s SV Premium Palette, offering “curated” hues tailored to this high-end model.

Interestingly, despite its carbon-centric branding, the SV Carbon doesn’t include carbon fibre wheels or carbon ceramic brakes as standard. Instead, it rolls on 23-inch forged alloy wheels paired with anodised black calipers. Those seeking the full lightweight package can opt for 23-inch carbon wheels and carbon ceramic brakes, which together help reduce the car’s weight by 76kg compared to the standard Range Rover Sport SV.

Interior: Premium Meets Performance

Inside, carbon fibre detailing continues with elements on the seatbacks and dashboard. A wide range of interior colours and trims are available, and for those preferring an animal-free cabin, Land Rover offers Ultrafabrics — a leather-free option that maintains the luxurious feel without using traditional hides.

Powertrain: Supercharged V8 with Electrified Edge

Under the hood, the SV Carbon retains the formidable 4.4-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine found in other SV models. With a power output of 626bhp and 590lb ft of torque, the SUV is capable of reaching a top speed of 180mph where permitted.

A mild hybrid system is integrated to aid efficiency and boost performance, making this luxury bruiser as advanced under the skin as it is visually aggressive.

Price: The Most Expensive RRS Yet

Pricing for the Range Rover Sport SV Carbon starts at £165,045, making it the most expensive variant in the current RRS SV lineup. For reference:

  • SV base model: £139,995
  • SV Black Edition: £154,975
  • SV Carbon Edition: £165,045

Range Rover Sport SV Carbon Verdict

The Range Rover Sport SV Carbon is not just another trim — it’s a statement of intent from Land Rover’s Special Vehicle division. With its mix of high-end materials, impressive performance specs, and bespoke options, it caters to a niche audience seeking luxury with an edge.

While some may see it as another entry in a crowded field of special editions, those who value exclusivity, visual drama, and V8 power wrapped in carbon will find plenty to like here — if they’re willing to pay the price.
